I had no difficulty understanding you in English. (your English is much better than my French!) The information was well presented and easy to follow. One detail is that the shirt is the male (or modern) equivalent of a blouse. In English a chemise is worn under the corset, however your explanation instantly made your meaning clear.
The bigger problem is that now I want to drop all my current projects and start on a lacy, flowery, Belle Epoque confection.
